Such an Easy Process and Relief Mar 25, 2026

I had roots invade my sewer line. I had one company come and clear the roots and assess the issue. I was told that a section had collapsed. They wanted to dig up the entire line to replace. I called IS&D for a second opinion and they looked at it, told me they would be able to repair the collapsed section and line the rest of the sewer line. I received a quote via email, I had questions and called. I received an answer and approved my quote. Work was begun within 48 hours, they came back on the following business day, someone came back for the inspection by my village and let us know we passed inspection. The very next day they came back and backfilled the hole. This was such an easy process and gave me relief from future issues.

If you're having sewer issues, make one call to Illinois Sewer and Drain and get an honest and reasonable diagnosis and estimate. This company gets the work done fast. If we weren't waiting for the city inspection, I'm pretty sure they would have been done in 24 hours or less. I did have an issue with my payment, and they were kind enough to give me an extension to cover the last part of the job. If you're having any sort of drain issues, sewer backing up into the house, make the call. They came out same day and were back the next day digging out the backyard, ensuring that I would be able to use the water in my house again as quickly as possible. Wonderful company. A wonderful experience, and the ladies in the office are great as well. Thanks again.

I bought a large 1860s house in Sycamore that had rusted out and cracked cast iron pipe that leaked sewage. Illinois Sewer and Drain used a sewer camera as part of the inspection and found we have two outgoing sewer lines and one was collapsed. They gave me a very competitive bid to connect the broken line with the one that was still working by pulling up the stone floor and rerouting the line across the basement. They were careful not to damage the historic stone work and replaced and leveled them when finished. It turned out to be a bigger project with cracked pipes just outside the basement, so they called in several more guys to get the job done. Great experience working with them.

We just moved to Illinois and the inspection of our home indicated that the sewer pipes were as old as the home and there were some issues. Illinois Sewer & Drain came out, investigated, and replaced the old pipes. It wasn’t a cheap job but it was done well and efficiently. Also, when we compared prices with what neighbors had to pay, it came out about the same. So I would definitely recommend them.

Had a sewage backup through a basement drain on a Saturday. Joel was out within a few hours and spent 5 hours trying to clean out my sewage pipe, which he did, but after scoping with a camera found highly deteriorated cast sewer pipe which was the cause. Showed me the evidence from camera so we scheduled a follow-up appointment for him to come out Monday and replace that section of pipe in my basement concrete floor. Joel was very professional and completed very good work. All work was done in 1 day, including concrete. Highly recommend!

I've used Illinois Sewer for two big jobs that involved replacing big sections of my sewer, both times buried underground under a concrete slab of the house. They involved tearing up the floors, jackhammering through the concrete, stuff you don't want to repeat. So you want it done right so you never have to do it again. Their work has stood the test of time and I'm confident we won't have to worry about ever dealing with those sections of sewer again, they are highly competent and thorough, I'm glad we used them.
